The beach at Constantine Bay is defined by the low headlands and rocky islands that head out to sea and is backed by large dunes which have been planted with marram grass to help stabilize them.

Amenities:  Recommended in Marine Conservation Authority Good Beach Guide 2006. Encams Seaside Award 2006. Constantine stores, surf shop at the top of the road down to Constantine, NCDC toilets (Disabled), very limited parking (30 spaces), more parking 1/2 mile up the road.

Dogs: Constantine Bay is a dog friendly beach. Please keep your dog under control and clean up mess immediately.

Surfing Info: Constantine is a very popular surf spot producing top quality waves in the North Cornwall area.  It has a reef at the southern end of the bay that works through the tide, depending on swell size, that produces lefts running into the bay however, the wave can be fickle depending on swell direction.  In the middle of the bay at high tide is a good peak producing rights and lefts with fast and sucky waves.  There is also a point at the north end of the bay that produces good waves from mid to high tide.
Suitable for: Experienced surfers only  Dangers: Rocks, dangerous rips, crowds, beach shelves quickly at high tide. Tides: Surfable all tides.  Wind: E/SE offshore.

Lifeguard Info: Lifeguards will be patrolling this beach from May 17th till September 23rd 2008.

Attractive Constantine Bay is situated near the popular resort town of Padstow.

The bay has an excellent wide golden beach which abounds with rock pools and is backed by low sand dunes which are blanketed in marram grass. It is a highly popular location with surfers and has lifeguards in the summer months. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year.

The small adjoining village of Constantine Bay has an estimated population of around two hundred people. The village acquires its name from St. Constantine, a saint revered in Cornwall and Devon.

At one side of the bay lies the beauty spot of Trevose Head, a storm battered granite headland which offers magnificent views into Devon. Both Constantine Bay and the adjoining Booby's Bay can become very busy in the summer months.

Beyond the beach and sand dunes lies the Trevose Golf Course with footpaths leading northeast to Harlyn Bay.

Parking and Public Toilets. Surf Shop 400 metres up the road.
